It is often most comfortable to make books standing up, so a sturdy table at bench height is ideal. Make sure you have good lighting, as accurate measurement depends on it.

- Two sheets of A2 paper (80-120gsm short grain)
- One sheet cotton rag paper (Khadi or watercolour paper) 100-175gsm
- Map/atlas paper, envelope paper
- Baking parchment (from a supermarket)
