- A3 primed canvas board1 x charcoal stick, medium
- Paint palette; tear off paper palette, or any other type of palette including an old china plate
- Oil paints, 8 x 35ml tubes in the following colours: Lemon yellow hue,Yellow ochre, Burnt sienna, Permanent alizarin crimson, Primary cobalt blue, French ultramarine, Emerald green, Titanium white
- Low odour thinner, 75ml
- Cleaner - clean spirit or white spirit
- Old cotton rag
- Old Newspapers
Equipment
- An easel (or alternative means of securing your canvas upright)
- 4 Flat Filbert brushes, size 6, 8, 10 and 12
- Nylon round pointer tipped brush, size 8
- A dipper pot for your painting medium
- Plastic or metal palette knife
