Get started with watercolour painting
Learn how to set up, draw and paint a still life in watercolour, as you gain confidence in colour mixing, and experiment with wash and brush skills. Gain the confidence to produce a finished still life study.

The minimum time required to watch and respond to the video content and complete the tasks is 6 hours. The tutor also recommends how you can develop your work further so that you can continue to use the skills acquired on this course for future projects.

All you need is a table with space for your board, paints, water and objects of inspiration.
- HB pencil
- 6B solid graphite stick
- Plastic eraser (Staedtler)
- Pocket watercolour set (Winsor and Newton – Cotman)
- Masking tape
- Cartridge paper, 140g gsm
- Approximately 4 x A4 sheetsWatercolour paper, ‘Not’ 300gsm. (Bockingford.) 2 X A4 sheet
- Tracing paper 1 X A4 sheet
